Independent Chairman

Conor comes from a farming background and is currently based in Wellington. He is Chairman of Agribusiness New Zealand Ltd which focusses on exports and trading, farm systems, smart city technologies, and agricultural and technology investment. Its exports include dairy, meat, fish, fruit products as well as live cattle and genetics to a range of countries, including China.

Conor is an Independent Advisor to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand - one of only two external independent advisors to the Reserve Bank to ensure inflation targets are met, taking into account that financial stability is maintained for the New Zealand economy.

He is also a director of GMP Pharmaceuticals Group Ltd, a leading privately-owned Australia and New Zealand based manufacturing company specialising in complementary healthcare products, natural health and dairy products. GMPs pharmaceutical grade facilities in Sydney and Auckland service clients both locally and in over 30 countries around the world.

Conor’s other roles include directorships of Silvereye Ltd, a boutique communications strategy and government relations firm, the New Zealand E-Sports Foundation - the governing body for E-Sports in New Zealand, as well as being a board member of the Live Animal and Germplasm Trade Association (LAGTA) which represents the sectors interests domestically and internationally.

Conor has good governance experience and strong global insights around New Zealand products and exports, and brings to QEX a range of international networks and relationships.
